5 Hal Membuat Wedding Photography Yang Indah

Artistic Wedding Photography Up Close and Personal

There is a wide range of wedding photography styles, ancient and modern, some photographers mix and match. It's easy to capture the bride and groom but how do you capture the love that exists between them. It's the ability to shoot fun, tenderness, beauty and love that makes the best artistic wedding photography stand out from the rest.

Meaningful moments and wedding imagery give depth to the memorable day. You are tasked with recording a permanent record, the end of months of preparation and countless expense.

Be proactive tell the story of the day, who, what, when, where and why. and remember a good story as a beginning, middle, and end Take establishing shots,at the house, church, reception,in the garden ,everywhere. zoom in on the key players, the emotional moments in the day,the humor, tension and laughter. Get the posed shots early when people are fresh and not jaded. Seek out the real moments to make the day special, after the ceremony. Core formal photographs are expected,a pre-wedding interview with the couple, will get you the days plan, get the timings of the day, very important to know what and when things are to happen.

Photojournalist type shots do not manipulate the scene, are unrehearsed to capture meaningful moments of the day as the story unfolds, allowing the day to reveal itself with all the spontaneity and surprises that always occur at such wonderful events. Using longer lenses and zoom the modern photographer is free to move around, get in, get the shot and get out. The event takes precedence, over the organisation of people and the resulting photos are more spontaneous and lifelike. This requires a unique skill, the skill of observation, by seeing things transpiring in front of you and reacting to it, up close and personal. On the other hand, formal photography is structured with traditional shots, they manipulate the pose and in the view of many, are old fashioned and give fictional results, there is however an obligation to take the traditional formal photos.

In artistic wedding photography it is not trying to pursue perfection,it is capturing the reality of the situation with as little interference as possible. Chefs, bartenders, waiters, the band, the surroundings, flowers etc are all part of the story of the day. Include these to give your shots more reality. Pictures are powerful, crafted by the photographer on the computer, using special effects, will create a one of a kind wedding album. With the explosive creativity of the digital camera and chroma key software it gives the ultimate control of each and every image, not to photographers, but to the digital artists who can provide a premium service, this is the new photographic renaissance.

Being a professional means coming home with the goods no matter what the circumstances. When you can master the art of the candid shots and the digital software, to deliver the exclusive pictures, your artistic wedding photography will be in great demand. An increasingly profitable business area.

Say Cheese to Your Wedding Photographer As You Get Married

A photographer involved in photographic activities related to wedding is simply defined as a wedding photographer. Wedding photography includes various pictures of the wedding couple before and during marriage. These photographs are generally used for wedding announcements, invitation cards or simply as portrait displays. It is indeed a major commercial endeavor to a photographer to opt for this profession.

The concept of wedding photography has evolved since photographic art form came into being. A wedding photographer bears responsibility to arrange and carry all the necessary equipment to shoot and capture wedding moments. As a wedding moment is a one-time event, the entire responsibilities rely on the shoulders of the photographer. The photographer must be prepared to capture the unexpected and sudden moments. The job is, indeed, tricky as it demands exhaustion and a constant hunger for proper angles and opportunities to capture explicit high end photographs. The stresses involved with photographing a wedding can be managed by proper communication and adjustments of time-line. In cases of group photographs, a tactful handling of charge may be necessary to meet the expectation at the ceremony.

It is often observed that the requirement of an assistant is necessary, who can carry the end equipments, coordinate guests, and can assist with attire adjustments along with focusing the reflector as per preference and need. It is good for a wedding photographer to have a proper studio. Many renowned photographers specialize in wedding photography only and maintain their high end wedding photography studios in many big cities. But for others a home studio is enough to shoot wedding stills and video.

As far as the wedding package is concerned, there is no fixed content for a wedding coverage. So the deliverables vary regionally and depend upon the ceremony. Sometimes untouched, edited images, commonly known as "proofs" are offered to a client by a photographer. A magazine of images or may be a CD can contain the whole lot of pictures captured by the photographer. There is a possibility of purchasing online pictures nowadays. Many photographers provide high resolution files to the clients with limited rights to produce the images for personal usage by retaining the copyright. A premium price is often charged by a photographer in return. Once paid a heavy amount against the photographic rights, a client obtains the sole authority to use and reproduce the images.

A wedding photographer prospers with experience, a keen observance and perfect photographic sense as the moments arrive one-time for the most awaited big occasion.

Wedding Photography - How To Choose Your Wedding Photographer

Hiring a wedding photographer may seem like a simple task, but choosing someone to capture all the moments and details of that special day can be much more difficult than most couples realize. The professional you select will create a photographic record that will be treasured by your family for generations, and making this decision is a critical step in the wedding-planning process. In some instances, hiring the wrong person might not only result in poor wedding photos, but could also have a negative effect on your entire wedding day (for example, imagine a sloppy-looking photographer running around, blocking the guests' view and constantly distracting you from enjoying your day).

One of the most common and unfortunate mistakes couples make is hiring a family friend or an enthusiastic relative to photograph the day. Some may even ask guests to take as many photos as possible with the hope of piecing together an album composed of candid shots, most of which are unusable. Keep in mind that even with the proper equipment, photographing a wedding properly is a daunting task requiring significant experience, the finesse' to be virtually invisible, and most importantly the talent and artistic vision to capture the memorable details and emotions of your wedding day. It is certainly not a job for the faint of heart.

How, then, does one choose an accomplished, professional wedding photographer? The key items to consider are your personal preferences in photography, your budget for the event, and the professional relationship and chemistry you have (or don't have) with the photographer.

Wedding photography is usually classified as traditional, photojournalistic (candid), and artistic. There is a wealth of information online regarding these categories, if you would like more explanation of each. Although some photographers may declare that they are "hardcore photojournalists" (the current buzz-word in the wedding photo industry), I believe that a good wedding photographer must be able to do all the styles equally well. It is important to review a good selection of the photographer's work, and you should love most (if not everything) you see. You should insist on viewing complete wedding albums to see how your final album could look. Couples also either under-budget for their wedding photography, or they try to shop around for the cheapest package, forsaking quality. As with any creative service, with most photographers you normally "get what you pay for." If you see an all-inclusive package with albums under $2000.00, the quality of all the products and services is usually poor. If the package is above $5000.00, you should expect 2 photographers present, at least 8 hours of coverage, and high-end wedding albums (along with some extra items, such as proofs or parent copies). Make sure you compare apples to apples when reviewing various wedding packages, since they can be confusing. In most cases a typical wedding photography budget would be in the $3000.00 - $6000.00 range. Don't treat your wedding photography as an afterthought - photographs are the most enduring and viewed remembrance of your wedding day (more so, even, than a video recording).

Make sure you feel a personal connection with your photographer. Some of the best photos of the day are usually taken "behind the scenes" as the wedding party prepares for the day, when you will be interacting with your family and friends. You should feel comfortable inviting the photographer "backstage." As a wedding photographer, I regularly get invited to see the most intimate parts of the wedding day that are normally not visible to most guests or even family. Your photographer should be calm and assertive and have a positive energy about them. Make sure he or she shows a genuine interest in you and your family. Do not hire a photographer that makes you feel that your wedding day is just another job for them. Your photos would certainly reflect that.

Contemporary Wedding Photography and Photographer

Couples usually have a tough time choosing their contemporary wedding photographer. After you've found and secured the venue of your dreams, you need to make yet another important decision, which is the photography part.

While there are many proficient wedding photographers, you need to hire someone who can capture all the events beautiful and also produce a professional and good looking album. However, today's bride and grooms are more demanding than before and they expect something more than just a series of formal portraits. The modern approach is relaxed and comfortable. Something that seems natural and more spontaneous, capturing all the emotions of the day and giving the photos a real life feel.

Some of the leading wedding photographers use the latest digital equipments for shooting the weddings. This facilitates the photographers to concentrate on one camera for the entire event, which makes their job easier. The contemporary approach today will not allow you, the photographer, to forget anything. Your photography must include everything that is important for the event, including the wedding gown for the bride and the suit for the groom, the shoes, the table details, the flowers, the accessories, the décor, the candles and everything else that you could possibly think of. All these minute details are to be recorded without a miss because these are all the cherished elements, unique for the special day.

While every picture is taken in color, you can always have a black & white version. Some people prefer to keep a black & white version as well. Some photographers also offer bi-color digital effects and sepia toning to make the photographs look more appealing and different. These effects can be used for personalizing the finished album.

Wedding photography packages are offered these days to suit all your requirements. These would comprise of hourly coverage charges, starting from the bride's initial preparation, continuing through the exotic wedding breakfast, to the bride's emotions and dressing up sequences followed by the main event. Speeches, the ring ceremony, their first dance and all other evening celebrations would also be covered.

If you are interested in engagement shoots, you can ask your photographer to make this a part of the package as well. Couples prefer informal portraits these days rather than the prepared poses. These shoots can be arranged prior to the wedding in romantic locales that the bride and the groom choose. This has become a trend now.

Another way of cherishing the wedding photographs is to have them in DVD-ROMs to be viewed later on as slideshows on the television or even printed later on.

The modern equipments and advanced technologies have given us the scope to have some fine-looking pictures and the presentation has evolved as well. These days the albums are well designed around the photographs, thus enabling the creation of individual masterpieces. Different magazines now portray different styles of photography and you would ask your photographer to incorporate any of these styles to make your wedding photographs look amazing.

You must fix up a meeting with your photographer a month before the wedding to discuss all the details and the timings of the shoot and the event. It is important for them as well to know your exact requirements in term of style and presentation, to successfully deliver their best.

What is Photojournalistic Wedding Photography?

What is photojournalistic wedding photography?

Introduction

When the term "Wedding Photography" is mentioned, the idea some people have in mind, especially the older generation, are posed formal shots, studio lights, and everyone looking at the camera. This is mainly because cameras and lighting equipment in the dark ages are bulky and cumbersome, and the only way to take a photo is to do it in a properly controlled environment, like a studio. This style of wedding photography is generally termed traditional wedding photography. With the advancement in camera and lens technology, a new style of wedding photography is emerging - photojournalistic.

There is no official record of the first man who began to shoot a wedding in this style, but one could imagine how it all happened. After the invention of 35mm camera, roll film and on camera flash, people start taking these gadgets to places, like the battlefield of the Second World War - probably the golden age of photojournalism. After the war ended, military-trained photographers turn their talent to shooting for the press. News coverage of celebrities' and royalties' weddings probably triggered the interests of the general public, and a new style of wedding photography silently begun.

Why photojournalistic wedding photography?
Early to mid-20th-century brides and grooms have only memories of their weddings because their photographers simply weren't there. This had changed. People today want something better than their parent's wedding photos: pictures that depict intimate and real moments - a tearful mother sending off her daughter, the first kiss as husband and wife, moments that are frozen in time, telling the story, something that the couple can look back in 20 years and relive the moment.

What happens before, during, and after the wedding?
Just like booking a traditional wedding photographer, clients would have arranged a meeting with the photojournalist, looked at his/her work, get to know him/her and the way he/she works. Photojournalistic pictures vary greatly in style, and therefore it is important to pick something you like. Equally important is the chemistry between the client and the photographer, which can affect the photo quality immensely.

There's no set agenda for the photographer. Because clients are already familiar with the styles of photos they will be receiving, wedding photojournalists are often just told to "do their magic". Photographs are captured spontaneously as the moments unfold, with an emphasis on emotions. The people will not be directed on how to pose and what to do. Some wedding photojournalist will also take formal posed photos in between wedding proceedings, so you can have the best of both worlds.

Because photographs were shot on the fly, exposures probably weren't optimum. They often required post processing, and it is common for photographs to be delivered more than a week after the wedding.

Last words
By simply taking photographs of 'whatever is going on' is not photojournalism, it does not tell a story. Photojournalistic wedding photos should be a cohesive collection of images that are not only a record of the day's events but are also images that capture as many "decisive moments" as possible.

A trained, experienced photojournalist will know to how to anticipate moments, record, and present them in the highest technical excellence possible, to really capture the essence of the wedding and be able to tell the complete story in pictures so others viewing those photos will be able to relive the event.

Elegant Wedding Photography

Wedding photographs are truly something to be cherished throughout your life. These photographs speak a lot about the moments of enjoyment, the presence of the couple, the feeling of joy and everything that the bride and the groom experiences. Wedding photography should capture every move and every emotion that comes once in a lifetime.

It is also about a lot of advanced planning and management, or else, your wedding photographs could be a great disappointment. Even if you have hired the best photographer and had the best crew to assist you, incomplete arrangements can prove to be disastrous.

The key to elegant wedding photography is communication. Good photography begins with the development of good relationship with the photographer. Discussing all the intricacies of photography, including the style and the approach will give an insight to the person who would be taking the photographs. This helps in making these photographs a memorable experience and the photos seem more real.

You can as well give your photographer the liberty to use his own shooting philosophy. Depending on the different aspects of the wedding, such as venue, style, event etc. The photographer can use his imagination to produce excellent photographs.

If you also want to help your photographer in creating the best and the most beautiful photographs for that special day of your life, you must also look into the attribute layout of the site, the lights, the overall atmosphere and the hues used to make sure that everything is perfect.

The elegance of the photographs lies in the natural looks, the ambient light and the overall decoration. Simple is perfect for photograph. But the lights make a great difference. When dark places are chosen for weddings, which happen occasionally, the photographers are left with no other option but to use the flash lights.

Every wedding photograph is like a memory of overwhelming emotions. From the point the bride is being dressed, till the time the couple kiss each other, every moment is worth capturing. From the wedding gown to the rings, to the cake and the flowers, the ceremony and the venue, everything is important. Concentrating on the close-ups is also a must.

Some classic examples of elegant wedding photographs can be seen in different websites. The background, the attire and the colors are so well matched that it seems natural and not just photography.

Classiness also lies in the different positions and angles used for photography; it isn't everybody's forte. Only a handful of photographers can give you those perfect shots to make your wedding photos stand out in the crowd.

Capturing every emotion is also another sophistication of photography. The bride goes through countless emotions on the weeding day - sometimes happy, sometimes sad, and sometimes nervous and sometimes longing for the groom. Remembering these emotions can give you heart-felt joy even after years of wedding. These photographs can freshen up your memory whenever you want to experience that special day once again.

The groom cannot be left out - he also enjoys, feels nervous for the newly acquired status and responsibility, has a great time with friends and longs to kiss his bride. They hold hands, they hug and then the wedding kiss - an ever joyous moment.

Choosing Lenses For Wedding Photography

Wedding photography has gained popularity over the years due to the increased pressure on bride and grooms to host the perfect wedding. Wedding photography depends on perfect timing and having equipment that matches the needs of the couple.

However, once you have gained enough experience in the field, you should start thinking about getting the best and latest equipment for wedding photography. If you start to carry out research and speak to different wedding photographers, you will realize that different individual prefer different brands and consequently, different lenses- depending on their style and mode of working.

It goes without saying that if you want to excel in the field of wedding photography, it is essential that you purchase a good portrait lens. Portrait photography depends on the distance between the camera and the subject as well as the lens' focal length. It is of common knowledge that if you take a close up of the subject with the help of a lens with a wide angle, the subject will practically protrude out of the photograph and its surroundings will look miniature. Therefore, if you want to achieve this kind of an effect, it is recommended that you use a wide angle lens and shoot from a short distance. This concept is called foreshortening and is very popular among wedding photographers.

However, in case the bride or the groom do not like close up and therefore, do not wish to see minute details of their faces- you cannot use these lenses. Therefore, it becomes necessary to involve the couple into your plans so that both the parties are happy in the end. You should explain how positioning the camera in a certain manner will add different angles to the photograph and make it look completely different.

A study was carried out recently which compared photographs taken from different focal lengths. The verdict was that portraits with wide angle lenses added a softer character to the photographs whereas photographs that were taken from a distance gave the subject a harder look.

While selecting the lens for wedding photography, you must first figure out whether you are on a budget or if you are willing to splurge on the best, that is, more than $1000 on a Canon lens. Even though these lenses are extremely popular, if you are on a budget, other lenses are made by Canon which are not as expensive. While choosing a lens for wedding photography, it is also important to figure out whether you will be using more than a single camera on the main day. Instead of wasting time changing lenses, a majority of wedding photographers carry two cameras.

A number of wedding photographers also rely on fixed lens solutions. These have gained popularity over the years because the quality of the photographs is enhanced and there is no need for the photographer to add color to them with the help of editing systems like Photoshop. However, fixed lens solutions lead to other limitations and therefore, hamper the photographer's personal style. For those interested in these lenses, the 24mm F1.4 L, 85mm F1.2 L, and the 135 mm F2.0 L and the 50mm F1.2 L are recommended. However, one can also combine these for best results. Fixed lens solutions are generally popular amongst wedding photographers who have gained enough experience to develop a unique style.

Documentary Wedding Photography Essentials

All my friends consider their wedding day as a important occasion. The theme of the entire event is carefully chosen and every detail is meticulously checked. Both the bride and groom want to make sure that this once in a lifetime event will be recorded. Years from that fateful day, they can both look back and reminisce as they watch the videos of their wedding and look over the photographs. If you are getting married and want to make sure that you have nice photos from your wedding, you have probably been looking for a reliable wedding photographer. Someone who would ensure that the most important moments of the wedding are recorded for future viewing. This is where a reliable wedding photographer comes in.

What exactly does documentary wedding photography stand for? Wedding photography, generally speaking, is a type of photography that deals specifically with weddings and oftentimes, pre-wedding events such as wedding announcements or engagement parties. Documentary wedding photography is a mixture of traditional wedding photography and documentary filmmaking. Documentaries allow the filmmakers to immerse themselves in the culture or the milieu of their subject. Some documentary wedding photographers apply the same principle to the wedding and reception coverage. They take photographs from the day the wedding was announced until the time the wedding reception ends.

Documentary wedding photography can involve fashion photography or black and white photography. But most documentary wedding photographers prefer taking candid photos, because these make the subjects and the scenes look more "natural." Such images also allow the photographer to create a story about the bride and groom. Simple and small details, like a child hiding under the table or an aunt perusing the menu, can contribute to that story and make the wedding album (or video) so much more interesting. Capturing such moments also give the impression that the photographer knows what he's doing. It also shows that he is creative enough to tell a story based on those few details from the wedding and reception. In addition, such scenes allow the guests to get to know the couple more and make them look at the wedding as something more than just an event that they had to join.

A talented and reliable wedding photographer will be able to document a wedding through a series of images. Such images would convey the necessary emotions and be powerful enough that the photos speak for themselves. Any individual who looks at the photos will be immediately introduced to the bride and the groom. As he goes over the rest of the wedding album, he will know how the bride and groom met, how the groom proposed, and what transpired during the wedding day. He will also be introduced to all family members who attended the wedding, as well as the friends of the couple. Any quirky character or eccentric family member will probably have an entire page or two devoted to him.

These are the photos that the couple can go back to when they get older. They will remember when they first met, up to the day that they got engaged, and until that fateful day when they finally get married. Such are the moments that a good documentary wedding photographer will be able to record.

Newport Beach Wedding Photography V. Newport Beach Portrait Photoraphy - Pros And Cons

There are a number of pros and cons a professional photographer should consider before deciding whether to or not to expand grow his business by seeking out weddings or seeking to do more portraits.

Pros of wedding photography v. Portrait Photography are as follows:
In wedding photography there is less of a need for a studio. Renting or purchasing studio space is a major expense for any photographer. If that photographer focuses on weddings, he is less likely to need to rent out studio space since the very nature of shooting a wedding demand that it be on location. Wedding photographers are often asked to shoot engagement portraits as well. While on occasion a couple will ask for an engagement session in a studio, the majority of engagement sessions are done out-of-doors. Hence a photographer who focuses his business on weddings can avoid a studio expense. For the rare occasions when a studio is needed, the photographer can simply rent a studio.

A professional who focuses on portrait photography will be far more likely to need a studio. This is particularly true for those seeking to shoot high school seniors. High school seniors often want a combination of both studio and outdoor location shots. This customer desire would make it difficult for a photographer to base his business on portraits, particularly high school portraits, without adding the expense of a studio.

As far as revenue per event, wedding photography often has a higher floor. Couples realize that their wedding is often a once in a life time opportunity. As a result they and their family plan on spending more for a wedding than, for example, a typical family photo shoot. This rule only applies to typical family shoots.

The downside of a once in a life time opportunity is there is a higher stress and liability level to weddings than there is for a family shoot. A family shoot can almost always be rescheduled lowering the liability level if something were to go wrong. Also, a wedding requires more precise timing. It is imperative that the photographer is at the right place at the right time. Missing a key ceremony shot is not an option. These requirements for weddings create a longer typical shoot and more stress.

The shooting of both weddings and portraits sessions can be lucrative and rewarding. However a professional photographer should evaluate the different advantages and disadvantage of each before deciding on the direction he will take to expand his business.
