Soap Nuts – Made Simple!

What a number P&G, Colgate and other corporate giants have done to our heads. It is absolutely amazing. We have been so brainwashed. After generations of advertising, they have made even the NOTION of a DIFFERENT way to clean very, very tough to grasp. Well let's break through. Let's clear our heads. We can think for ourselves. THEIR way does not need to be OUR way. As much as THEY do not want us to realize it - WE HAVE OPTIONS! Soap nuts are one of those options.

All the little nuances that create confusion are intentionally being sidestepped. Some statements will be technically wrong - but SO true in getting to the heart of the matter. The purpose of this article is to help us change HOW we think - to clear the parts of our brains that have been clouded by generations of advertising and programing by some of the largest companies in the world.

So, what is a soap nut? Soap. Is THAT simple enough? And what does soap do? It cleans things. Now, we have just connected soap nuts to cleaning. We are on our way to a paradigm shift! So, what must a soap nut do? Clean things!

Think of soap nuts this way: They are soap that Mother Nature produces. It doesn't come out of a big factory. She just grows it on trees. Huh? Hey, Mother Nature can do what she wants. She just does not get a paycheck, nor does she advertise. No differently than the accidental discovery of fire, ages ago someone found a fruit that made soap. So what did man discover about a soap nut? It cleans things. Hence, man discovered soap.

I thought it was a detergent? For the purpose of changing HOW we think, this does not matter at all. What DOES matter is that our brains start realizing that soaps, detergents, cleansers and cleaners DO NOT need to be manufactured. Are you getting it? The ONLY really important question is: What does it do? And the answer is: IT CLEANS THINGS!

Where do they come from? Trees. Simple. For the sake of even more simplicity, let's not get hung up on the whole "nut" issue. For the purpose of this article, who cares exactly what it is? Also, let's just call them Soap Trees. (Getting easier?) Trees produce seeds that allow them to grow baby trees. Right? Who cares if it is a fruit, nut, berry, acorn or whatever? If you take a handful of whatever they are - and can start lathering up with them - would it be like soap? Of course! Well, THAT is EXACTLY what soap nuts do. I hope that you are asking, "You mean there are trees that can GROW soap?" The answer is - YES!

Have we changed a little regarding HOW we think? Do we realize that all soaps and detergents don NOT need to be manufactured? Do we realize that Mother Nature has her own ready-to-use soap out there just waiting for us to find it? Do we realize that natural soaps were around that would clean our bodies and everything else, ages before there was ever a soap processing plant? BTW: Mother Nature has provided us many little gifts that clean things. Soap nuts just do it extremely well.

So, where have they been all this time? Again, Mother Nature does not work for profit – and THAT is WHY they are new to us - particularly those of us in the USA and Canada. Relatively speaking we are new kids on the block. It is mainly ancient cultures that understand soap nuts. People had already figured out how to make and sell other kinds of soap long before Columbus ever set foot on the shores of the West. If Mother Nature was profit oriented and had an executive and marketing team, her cleaning products would fill store shelves all around the world.

As an Asian Indian gentleman explained (surely similar to many from ancient origins): His family knows soap ONLY as soap nuts. They grew up with them. Be it to bathe, wash clothes, clean jewelry, or whatever their cleaning needs were - when they started cleaning, they broke out the soap nuts.

So, go get some soap nuts. Put a bunch of them in a wash bag or just wrap them in a washcloth. Get them totally wet with warm water and start scrubbing. Or take some and put them in warm water, let them soak a bit and shake them up. Guess what? You are going to start to see suds. And what do suds do? You got it. Try some in a wash bag for a load of laundry. Clean a window with some of that solution you just made. You WILL be amazed.

So, what is a soap nut? It is a fruit that grows on a tree that makes soap. It cleans things. That is what soap does. Understand THAT and you are home. You have just broken though and changed HOW you think. This article is by no means intended to convince you that soap nuts are the BEST way to clean. It is intended to show you another option you have. It is aimed at de-programming you from a lifetime of advertising. You have choices that very few know about. Soap nuts faded away into history - and that is exactly what many wanted.

Now we are in the beginning of a new - GREEN - age. More and more people are embracing the importance of finding a natural equilibrium with our world - to find a harmony with it once again. There are many age-old - and much greener ways - to do many of the things we do every day. Cleaning is only one of them. However, since cleaning is such a big part of our lives, understanding all our options is very important. Soap nuts are a fantastic one to know about.

So, what is a soap nut???? What does it do????

A Guide to Bread Machines

As you know, bread making by hand is not a simple process. There are plenty of stirring, mixing, and kneading required. Stirring and kneading can be relatively painless for bread dough with lots of eggs and butter to soften it up. But for tougher doughs, the manual labor involved could turn into a real chore. That's where a bread machine will really ease things up. A well built bread machine will automatically handle all the required dirty work, leaving you the creative work. Best of all, it does not take much other than the ability to push a few buttons to work a bread machine the way you want.

When considering a bread machine, it's a good idea to get familiar with its features and capabilities. Have an idea of how much you are looking to spend, these machines can run anywhere from below $60 to over $180, according to what brand, and what features you are looking for. Some have timers and delay buttons, while some don't, there is also the option of a crust setting which enables you to have light, medium, or dark crust on your bread loaf. You also need to know what type of breads you will be baking in your machine. If you're a big fan of making wheat bread, make sure that the bread machine your purchase has a cycle for it. Some bread machines have an extra special cycle for baking cakes and jams. Before deciding to purchase a bread machine, make sure that it has all the features you want and have enough cycles for all your baking needs. It' also a good idea to check for a cool down cycle, to prevent your bread loaf from becoming soggy, if you can't be there to remove it after the baking process is over. Most machines have a keep warm cycle to prevent sogginess, but some have a tendency to dry up the bread.

There are some downsides to bread machines, some have special compartments for nuts and fruits, while although a great idea, may sometimes cause clogging, so it would be wise to watch for this and keep compartments clean. You can purchase bread machines that will produce different sizes and shapes of loaves, square, round and the traditional rectangle. Something else to look for in a bread machine is how easy it is to remove the bread ban for cleanup. To maintain your bread machine, it's good practice to check for the build up of crumbs. You do not have to do this often. I would suggest after every use, so as not to let the crumbs accumulate.

More so than other appliances in your kitchen, you should consider the weight and size of the bread machine. It's best to buy the bread machine suitable for your purpose and the size of your kitchen. The last thing you want is to have a huge machine taking up a good quarter of the countertop. Make sure your machine comes with a manual giving you instructions for operating your bread machine, because there are some models on the market that don't. You can choose to go for the cheaper model or the more expensive, the choice is up to you, but just remember, you get what you pay for.

Funniest Clown Stunts in Clown Party

Do you want to know what the funniest stunts of clowns are? It is easy and fun. Find out in this article and apply it in your next Clown party.

Now came a chance to show off a bit. The young clowns all sat in a circle and each one took a turn at clowning.

Each clown performed his funniest stunt while the youngsters applauded vigorously.
The boy and girl clown who won first place as funniest became the twirler in the old game of Statue. The boy twirler grabbed the right hand of each boy and swung him around three times. The clowns held the positions in which they landed. The twirler looked them over and picked the most interesting one to be the next twirler. The girl clown twirled all the girls and judged her group.

To have a quiet game before lunch the clowns seated themselves in a circle for a game of Circus. The first clown started the game by saying, I went to the circus to see an anteater. The next in line repeats, I went to the circus to see an anteater, and adds an animal beginning with the letter b as bear. The third in line might say, I went to the circus and saw an anteater, a bear, and a clown. One who fails to think of an object beginning with the next letter of the alphabet goes to the center of the circle.

By the time only a few were left competing, lunch was ready. Jack and Jill led their guests to the dining room for refreshments. For place cards balloons were used. A balloon bearing the name of a guest was tied to the back of each chair. Shouts of laughter greeted this new idea while the guests scrambled for their seats.

The traditional ice cream became jolly clowns a scoop of ice cream on a pineapple slice with bits of maraschino cherries for roguish eyes and mouth, and a whole cherry for a bulbous nose. Cone-shaped paper drinking cups with a red tassel on top perched on top of the clown face, added the last touch to the clownish appearance. Little frosted squares of white cake were dotted with tiny red candies.

The party guests were tired but happy. They gathered up their puppets to take home as favors. They were sure nothing could be more fun than such a jolly clown party.
