Are There Toxins in Your Skin Care and Cosmetic Products?

Our skin is the largest organ in our body and can readily absorb what we put on it. The skin is our first line of defense for our immune system and for protection.

Every day we use skin care and cosmetics and often give no thought as to harmful toxins that may be in them. The skin care and cosmetic industry is unregulated, so companies can use whatever ingredients they like, and seldom is anything tested before being sold to consumers.

Your skin care products and cosmetics may contain toxins which have been linked to infertility, birth defects, cancer and other health problems.

Although a product may be labeled "pure, natural and organic" this label can be misleading.

There are no legal standards for organic or natural skin care and personal care products sold in the United States. Therefore companies may be using these terms which can be confusing to customers. Products labeled this way may still contain chemicals that could be harmful.

New industry standards are emerging that may help people determine the difference between the natural and not-so-natural products, but many standards with different meanings may be confusing. The Campaign for Safe Cosmetics is advocating for a standard that means ingredients really are as safe as they claim to be for everyone.

Many products contain fragrances. Fragrance is considered a trade secret, so companies don't have reveal what's in it, so they could contain toxins. Many products use the generic term "fragrance," in everything from shampoos and deodorants to body lotions and shaving creams. Even "unscented" products can have masking fragrances, which are chemicals used to cover up the odor of other chemicals.

Some hidden hazards that may be in products that contain synthetic fragrance include allergens, sensitizers and neurotoxins. Also phthalates have been banned in Europe but may be in some North American products. These may pose a health risk.

Fortunately there are responsible companies that are making skin care and cosmetics that are safe for you and your family to use. The Campaign for Safe Cosmetics has many companies listed, these companies have pledged to do no harm and only make products that are completely chemical free. Check out Cosmetics Data Base where they have thousands of products listed, and are rated 0 for completely safe up to 10 for most hazardous.

Wholesale Beauty Products - How to Create Your Own Line

Selling beauty products is one of the most lucrative businesses you can be in, but not everyone can make shampoos, creams and mineral makeup. So all you have to do is simply find someone to make the product for you, put your label on it and ship it out to you, easy enough right? Well know it is, quite a few business in the beauty industry are actually creating the products, labeling them to get them into their clients hands so that you can resell them with ease.

The best way to start out selling beauty products is to find a company that has been doing it for years; we made it easy for you and listed it below. Once you get in contact with them and see how good the margins are you will fall in love with it just like we did.

There are tons of different beauty products that you can wholesale. You probably know by know that if it is a good product and it does what it says people will buy it no matter what.

Here are a few beauty products that can be wholesaled:

  • Mineral Makeup
  • Skin Care Products
  • Anti Aging Products
  • Eye Creams
  • Face Creams
  • Body lotions
  • Shampoos, Conditioners, Hair Repair Serums
  • Bath and Body Products
  • Face Washes, Toners, Moisturizers
  • Scrubs
  • Naturally Based Hair Products
  • Masks

A good way to do research is just by talking with your friends and seeing what they like and recommend. Magazines are another good way to research these products; websites are also a really good place to gather information. Between all of these resources you should have no problems picking out what you want to sell.

Don't be afraid to call up companies and ask what they offer, see if they can meet your needs. Look for a company that has low minimums, you don't want to have to order a palate full of products because you sold 3 or 4. Compare prices, but beware you get what you pay for, rule of thumb always get samples before you commit to anything.

So here are the steps:

  1. Decide on the products you want to sell
  2. Figure out whether you want your label or the manufactures label in the products
  3. Find a good company

Remember never move to fast you don't want to start out order huge quantities of product, you need to start out slow and build up into being the beauty business of your dreams.

If you have a passion for beauty products than it is well within your reach to have your own line of private label products. Just follow the easy steps. Earlier in the article I referred to a good company to buy wholesale beauty products, we trust them and have used them for years.

Discovering New Skin Care Products

New skin care products are coming out quite regularly. They each claim to be better than the rest and some even make the claim that they can give you instant results. With such products, they may improve your skin when you put it on but when its removed, your skin is no better than it was and may even be worse over time.

Many manufacturers' will put so much time and money into marketing and advertising that the product itself might not be as thoroughly tested as it should be. This could be dangerous for those who buy the product. Another "trick" many manufacturers' use is to put in enough active ingredients in their products so that they legally can be listed on the label. It is usually a very low concentration compared to other ingredients. In order to be effective, the concentration of the active ingredients needs to be high.

While we're on the subject, what would you say if I told you that most products are not only ineffective, they may also be harmful to your skin and your health? Chemicals some of which are known to be carcinogenic are found in many skin care products. Alcohols can make your skin dry and strip the natural acid mantle of your skin and they are also used and this leaves you more subject to viruses, bacteria and other health problems. Fragrances which may be made with toxic substances are also commonly used.

Deciphering the labels can be confusing. When you see suffixes that appear at the end of alcohols and some chemicals they should be avoided. On the other hand, if you see ingredients that are edible, the product is safe to use. Most people wouldn't want to eat it, but just in case you should accidentally eat it you will not come to harm.

Keep in mind that your skin is your largest organ. The parts that are usually exposed including the legs, back of the neck, back of the hands, and the upper part of the forearm need special attention. The skin absorbs skin care products but it is also true that what's absorbed through the skin goes to the blood stream.

The active ingredients that are in high enough concentrations are not only effective; they are and should be all natural. Now this can present a problem for many people. Manufacturers' state their product is all natural when they are in fact made of synthetic stuff with naturally occurring substances in them.

A new substance that has proven to be very effective in retaining the skin's moisture and in helping the body to regenerate its own collagen and its own elastin is called Cynergy TK. It keeps the skin firm and flexible. The result is fewer lines and wrinkles.

There are different forms of Coenzyme Q10. CoQ10 cannot be absorbed into the skin very easily. Through a process called nano-emulsion, Nano-Lipobelle H-EQ10 easily goes as deep as 7 layers of skin. It also is an anti-oxidant and does away with free radicals in your skin.

A kelp from the Japanese Sea is known as Phytessence Wakame. It helps to maintain the skin's supply of hyaluronic acid. This is a substance that strengthens elastin and collagen. Without it you would get more wrinkles and dark circles under your eyes. Hyaluronan is a part of your skin and is important in tissue repair.

These three all natural substances make up the strongest skin care product compounds that are available. In the right concentrations these active ingredients will help to end dryness, get rid of wrinkles, and those heavy circles under the eyes. They should be found in new skin care products in order for them to be safe and effective for your use.

Ancient Secrets of Japanese Skincare

There is a tight secret the Japanese people have held onto that have enabled them to age so gracefully.

Along with aging secrets the secrets to Japanese skincare is finally revealed and the answer may surprise you.

In this article I am going to share how the Japanese people can age so well, often into their 80's and beyond, looking more like little vixens rather than elderly folk.

Many think the secret lies in their genes, the fact is, here in the west we can emulate a number of their secrets which aren't secrets after all, more of dietary and lifestyle habits.

I am going to briefly discuss these dietary and lifestyle choices of Japan and how they help the skin of this very social culture.

People in Japan love to eat seafood. Their diets are very rich in Omega 3 fatty acids, which aid the health of our skin giving our skin that vivrant glow. The omega 3 fatty acids also play an important role in the health of your eyes, hair and heart.

Now you might be thinking, so all I need to do is eat seafood, to enjoy the benefits of the Japanese people.

Well that is part of the answer but not the whole equation to the secret Japanese skin care products they enjoy.

For instance there is a special kelp extract from the waters of Japan called Phytessence wakame.

What is so beneficial about Phytessence wakame to skincare products?

1) Clinical studies have shown phytessence wakame containing an active ingredient call sulfated polyfocose, this active ingredient protects the skin from environmental toxins plus the suns UV rays that can cause skin damage as well.

2) Phytessence wakame is chuck full of vitamins that can actually reduce inflammation of the skin. You see constant inflammation leads to the skin falling prey to the ravages of time.

3) There are properties inside that help protect the hyaluronic acid in the body. Increased levels of this acid aid the body in helping keep the skin moist, smooth and giving it that vivrant glow.

4) Last but not least phytessence has antioxidant properties that counter the free radicals roaming in the body that lead to damaging of the skin cells which speed the aging of the skin.

Now phytessence wakame is one to the top secrets related to Japanese skin care that I personally use every single day. Unfortunately most people here in the West have yet to find out this important secret but soon people will have hear of these incredible properties of this incredible kelp.

Pretty soon the ancient secrets of Japanese skincare won't be so secret anymore. Along my studies in addition to the top Japanese skincare secrets I have found a number of other natural substances that have shown dramatic effects on the skin, visit today for my top 3 substances I personally use every day.

Opening Up the Top Three Secrets on Japanese Skin Care

Have you ever wondered why the Japanese always move around with glowing, healthy and youthful skin? What is the secret to their lustrous skin? There are certain hidden aspects of Japanese skin care which is sure to bring out the real beauty of your skin.

There are special and natural ingredients present in the Japanese Skin care products which serve to be the best in protecting your face and thus maintaining ones health. Studies have proven that the Japanese are known for having the longest lifespan across the globe. There are certain secrets which are to be opened up to study what is behind all this and the top three are revealed here.

The very first thing is the common secret behind all skin care and that is to prevent from over tanning and burning by implementing the different methods which are available these days. Various fruit and vegetable oils and butter have been found to heal sun burns and at the same time, provide an umbrella against the burning effect when you are in the sun. Wakame Kelp is one among the favorites in Japan and it is known for containing what is known as "sulfated polyfucose". This component assists in the protection against any kind of environment pollutants producing free radicals resulting in sagging, wrinkles, as well as skin cancer. They are also known to provide a better shelter against the UV rays.

The second Japanese skin care secret is to have a balanced and healthy diet consisting of vegetables and fruits. Apart from the skin concerns, it helps in keeping the entire body fit and healthy, thus resulting in an increased lifespan.

The third top secret revealed is the most important of all and it is all about Wakame Kelp which is the beauty secret that we acquire from Japan. Not all skin care products are known to have Wakame, instead you can find hyaluronic acid as one of the major ingredients in most of the firming lotions. On the other hand, according to laboratory studies, it has been shown that creams having kelp as a major ingredient help in stimulating levels of hyaluronic acid in the skin, thus acting as another layer on the surface of the skin.

The so called Japanese beauty preserver is none other than what is known as Phytessence Wakame. It is a very strong antioxidant produced from the Japanese sea algae. These are referred to be a rich source of minerals and vitamins, especially the B group vitamins. They have special properties to improve the elasticity of the skin, smoothness, moisturizing effect and a lot more. They can also work on dry skin to heal dry irritated skin.

Japanese skin care corresponds mostly to Phytessence Wakame which stops the action of hyaluronidase in the skin. Wakame works along with hyaluronic acid to keep up the smoothness, elasticity as well as the tone of the skin.

Discover All Natural and New Skin Care Products

I was shocked when I discovered that products that are labeled all-natural aren't natural at all and this includes new skin care products. Manufacturers make this claim even though their products are really made from synthetic materials that have naturally occurring substances in them. If something is truly all natural it will not contain chemicals, alcohols, artificial ingredients or other toxic ingredients.

There are new products coming out all the time. You could almost say we are bombarded with choices. Each company proclaims to be the best product and that only their product will give you results. Most products are not worth the shelf space they take up or the billions that are spent on them each year. They are totally ineffective and some might harm your health.

If you are like most people, you want to look good and keep looking that way for as long as possible. Guys this is for you too. The new skin care products are for everyone. The best products are made with all natural ingredients that come from plants, minerals and other natural substances. They are both effective and safe.

Quality products do not necessarily cost a lot. On the other hand, I wouldn't buy the bargain brands either as the ingredients might cause more skin problems than you may already have. They should contain no preservatives, additives, artificial ingredients or other potentially harmful agents.

Most products contain these harmful ingredients and are ineffective anyway so I would suggest that they shouldn't be purchased. It really does not take a degree in chemistry to recognize these things in the list of ingredients although sometimes it might help. If you see alcohols, known additives or preservatives, do not purchase it or toss it if you have it.
You could also see petroleum and related substances in the list.

Although new skin care products that are of high quality might be a bit pricier than others. The money is worth it when you see results. You want a product that will be absorbed into the skin easily.

Three natural ingredients that are very effective in treating skin irritations and dryness include seaweed. An exotic Japanese seaweed called Phytessence Wakame is a terrific moisturizer. It heals dry and irritated skin.

A new substance that is being used is called Cynergy TK. It is unique because the body responds to it by re-growing collagen and elastin. It keeps your skin firm and smoother looking.

Nano-Lipobelle Q10 is easily absorbed by the skin. It penetrates as deep as 7 layers of the skin. This reduces wrinkles, fine lines, and those dark circles around the eyes. It is also an antioxidant and gets rid of free radicals (unpaired ions) in the skin. The strongest skin care compound combines the three ingredients listed above. In high concentrations they are extremely effective and safe.

New skin care products are usually produced by reputable companies. Typically, these companies will be willing to explain how their ingredients came to be and how they work. A guarantee is a good sign that the company trusts the product. You want to be sure the product is safe as well as effective. You can research companies and some will offer free samples. Being informed about skin care products will help you choose one that meets your needs.

The Best New Skin Care Products For Teens

It might be difficult to find the best new skin care products for teens. Teens tend to have more sensitive skin and are more prone to acne flare-ups than adults. It is good then to try to determine your teen's skin type. Have you heard of the dry tissue test? You take a plain tissue (no lotion or medicated vapors) and shortly after your teen rises, have them wipe their face with the tissue. If there is oil on the tissue your teen has oily skin, if oil is only on the center panel they have combination skin, and if the tissue is dry they have either normal skin or dry skin. In order to test for dry skin, have your teen wash their face with non-oil based soap. That's it and if in a few minutes their skin begins to feel tight or like it's being pulled tight they have dry skin. There is no real test that can determine sensitive skin you and your teen will recognize sensitive skin if they skin irritations from their normal daily care routine.

Let's take a look at finding the best product for your teen. I think you would want one that addresses their tendency toward acne flare-ups as well as when their skin is relatively clear. Take a look at products on store shelves pick one and read the label.

Let's see if I can help you recognize particular ingredients of the product you are interested in. Do you see parabens listed (preservatives)? Parabens are known to be carcinogenic. Do you see paraffin on the label (mineral oil)? This will harm your skin in the long run. It kind of "seals" your skin so it can't release toxins. What about fragrances are they on the label? Fragrances may be made with toxic substances as well. Do you see alcohols on the label, if they are they are probably petroleum based alcohols that is very drying to your teen's skin. All of these ingredients have connections with the occurrences of some forms of cancer, depression, and stress disorders. Research continues to see if a connection between these ingredients and other health conditions exist.

There are wonderful all-natural alternate ingredients that will give great results without harmful side effects for your teen (and you). Did you ever think the pit of an avocado has anything you can use? The rich oil that is extracted when the pit is pressed is wonderful for their skin. Did you have any clue that beeswax can be used for anything but candles?

Harvested from honey comb it is purified by special melting and centrifugal processes to get rid of all impurities. Did you know that highly purified olive oil (olivem) is great for your skin? All of these ingredients and more are safe and effective.

There is a strong skin care compound that is available has 3 active ingredients that does wonders for your teens skin. Together these 3 ingredients heals their dry skin from with-in, penetrates the skin easily as it begins become hydrated and smoother, renews collagen and elastin, and aids in tissue repair. They are Phytessence Wakame (Japanese seaweed), Nano-lipobelle H-EQ10 and a new substance Cynergy TK.

Now finding the best new skin care products for teens might be a bit difficult. Your doctor, your regular pharmacist or your local health and wellness store might be able to help. They are worth checking out.

If all else fails, do a search on the internet for all-natural skin care products for teens. If you come across one you are interested in - visit their website. Most of them will have their product line and labels available for you and/or your teen to read. Many supply a list of the ingredients and what they do on their sites as well. Most will allow you to order them online. A really good company will offer a free trial, free samples, and a money-back guarantee if you and your teen are not satisfied. They will also have links describing their research and product history. A point of contact (email, regular mailing address, and/or a phone number if you have questions or a problem with their products. Good luck!

Enjoy the Benefits of Organic Skin Care Products

Many people do not take good enough care of their skin. As we get older, it is even more important to look after yourself. In addition, consumers are uncertain about the quality of many creams and lotions, thus they are turning to organic skin care products.

Maintaining healthy skin using organic skin care products is very effective providing you use creams and lotions with the right ingredients because not all natural products are effective.

The term organic refers to anything that is grown from nature. The plants used for the ingredients do not contain any fertilizers, pesticides or chemicals of any kind.

Many people are trying to lead a greener lifestyle; this includes eating healthier foods, recycling more and using more environmentally friendly energy sources and much more. This also includes using safer products for their skin.

Most dermatologists agree that organic skin care products are much safer and more effective than chemical based products. However, since there are so many natural ingredients used, which ones are the most effective.

Phytessence Wakame is an extract from a specific type of Japanese sea kelp. The Japanese people have used this substance for hundreds of years as it is effective at restoring a healthy look and feel to your body. Phytessence Wakame helps to inhibit a harmful enzyme from breaking down the hyaluronic acid in your skin. This allows the hyaluronic acid to return to a normal level in your skin. The loss of this specific acid is a contributor to lines and wrinkles forming.

Other very effective natural ingredients used in the best organic skin care products include Active Manuka honey and essential oils such as Jojoba oil, Avocado oil and Grapeseed oil. Active Manuka honey comes from the honey produced by bees from the pollen of the Manuka bush in New Zealand. It is a very effective natural ingredient used to help reduce lines and wrinkles.

Organic skin care products are much safer and more effective than products found at your local department store. If you would like more information on the most effective natural ingredients used, please take a minute and visit my website today.

Tara Mathews is an advocate for using organic skin care products. Her plan is to educate people on the safest and best natural eye moisturizer creams. Visit our site for more information today! http://www.thefacewrinkle.com/

Anti-aging Skin Care Products

So you want to reverse skin aging, but is that possible at all? Aging is a normal body process. As people age, the skin slowly loses its elasticity, hence, wrinkles begin to appear with the pull of gravity. Notably, skin aging is hastened by the application of synthetic ingredients on the skin that actually damage its natural defenses and strip out lipids. The ultraviolet rays from the sun are also active factors in skin damage. When choosing an anti-aging skin care product, choose those with soluble vitamins A, C. and E.

BareSkin is a brand that includes MD skin care, Retin A skin care and anti-aging products that they say are suitable even for African-Americans, dry and oily skin. BareSkin's MD skin care anti-aging serum has high concentrations of anti-oxidants as well as anti-inflammatory ingredients that help in strengthening, firming, nourishing, and moisturizing your skin.

Their MD skin care line also includes microdermabrasion or the use of fine crystals that exfoliate top layers of dead skin cells, reducing the signs of aging. They also have Retin A product line that peels off skin on the first few weeks of usage. Results are usually achieved after months of continuous use.

If you want other alternatives, Make-up USA brand also has anti-aging skin care products and cosmetics. Their anti-aging skin care products come in packages. Mature Skin Package 1 and Mature Skin Package 2 as they are called. Package 1 includes a cleansing milk, toner, milk of aloe, day cram with Q10, miracle cream, clarifying mask, cream with collagen, cream with liposomes, vitalizing mask, and liposome gel. This package costs $263 if purchased separately but you can get a $53.00 savings if you purchase it by package. Package 2 includes a cleansing cream, toner, milk of mandarine, and cream vitalisante. You get a $14.20 savings from the original price, which is $71.00 if you purchase the product as a whole.

Dermaceuticals has an array of anti-aging skin care products that suit your wants. These come in cleansers and toners, scrubs, eye creams, moisturizers and hydrators, and wrinkle eraser. They claim that their cleansers are light and detergent-free. Well, it's for you to find out. Their anti-aging skin care products are formulated to fight premature aging that according to them are highly recommended for high stress and mature/aging skin types. Dermaceuticals' line of toners is light and alcohol free leaving skin with a finer, softer texture. It contains herbal extracts of which the main ingredients come from juices of aloe and cucumber.

There are numerous anti-aging skin care products available commercially and some may contain synthetic ingredients that could damage or irritate your skin. Whatever your regimen is, make sure a healthy lifestyle goes with it.

What Organic Skin Care Products Should be

What is the true definition of organic skin care? We if many of the leading cosmetics companies are to be believed, it means that as long as you include a smidgen of honey you can pretty much throw in anything else that you want. It’s those mystery ingredients in supposedly organic skin care products that you have to watch out for.

I refer to them as “mystery” ingredients not because the company is hiding anything really since the contents are posted right on the label. It’s because you would have to be a med school professor to know off the top of your head what half of those ingredients are. Most of these ingredients don’t pertain to organic skin care in any way.

That’s the problem with a great many organic skin care products being marketed today. The active ingredients contained in these creams are only there in small quantities, and even the in low doses. The rest of the ingredients are chemical preservatives and engineered fragrances.

Fragrances Could Be Carcinogenic

Methyl, ethyl, propyl, and butyl parabens are widely use in organic skin care creams as preservatives. Studies have suggested that these chemicals may cause cancer. They have also been found to interfere with the body’s endocrine system, as well as cause skin rashes and allergic reactions.

The fragrances added to most organic skin care products are made up of any number of chemical, many of which are known to be carcinogenic. A lot of the non cancer-causing chemicals used are recognized toxins, which can do a variety of damage including affecting your central nervous system.

Why would these poisons even be allowed in organic skin care creams anyway? The chemicals utilized to make up the fragrances absolutely should not be in any cosmetics products. Developing an artificial aroma for a cream serves no purpose other than to make that cream seem more appealing to you.

A Company Who Does It Right - They Care

There is a company based in New Zealand that simply refuses to use parabens preservatives in their organic skin care products. They don’t use fragrances either for that matter. Their belief is that the health of their customers is more important saving a few pennies through the inclusion of cheap, unnecessary, chemical additives.

This company holds the philosophy that organic skin care should mean exactly that, organic. They believe that when you open a tube of skin cream, the only thing that you should be able to smell is the pure, natural vegetable oils inside. I believe that they are absolutely right.

Real Organic Ingredients

Organic skin care products should include ingredients such as avocado oil, grape seed oil, passion fruit extract, and Japanese brown sea kelp. That certainly sounds a lot better than what you’re finding in many of these other popular products. It also sounds as if this product would be a lot better for you.

It is actually refreshing to know that there are still some companies left that care more about giving their customers a far superior product than they are about how large a profit they will turn.
