What Color Roses Should You Send?

Roses are a classic symbol of love. But, did you know that each color has a distinctly different meaning? Before sending roses to someone special in your life, take a minute to read the following tips to ensure you convey the message you truly want to send.

Color

As mentioned above, each shade of rose has a different connotation.

Red-The classic symbol of love, red roses symbolize enduring and passionate love. Send them to your sweetheart to show her how much she truly means to you.

Pink-Send pink roses when you want to send a flower that has a softer, gentler connotation than the red rose. They express affection, sweet love and admiration.

Yellow-Yellow roses stand for friendship, loyalty and respect. When you send yellow roses you let the recipient know how much their friendship means to you.

Orange-A unique choice, orange roses represent fiery passion. Send them when you want to send a strong message!

White-White roses symbolize innocence and pure love, which is why they are often used at weddings.

Lavender-Lavender roses are an eye-catching choice. They symbolize enchantment and let someone know you are intrigued and enchanted by them.

Arrangement Style

Did you know that when you send roses the arrangement style can also have meaning?

Long-stemmed roses-Arrangements using long-stemmed roses symbolize feelings which run extremely deep. For instance, if you send your true love long-stemmed roses then you are sending a message of "My love for you runs deep".

Shorter arrangements- Rose bouquets which are shorter (or "pave-style") are well-suited for someone who has a trendier, hipper, more modern style.

Mixed rose bouquets-Bouquets of mixed roses give off a more casual, breezy feel. For example, a bouquet of roses in mixed colors is a great "everyday" choice and also nice for birthdays.

Vase Style

When you send roses, you have a wide variety of choices when it comes to the style of vase. Similar to the points listed above, you should take someone's personal style into account when deciding upon one. Simple vases are great for classic red roses because they won't detract from the roses. Vases in fun shapes or styles are also available--for example, short cube vases and tea cup vases are a few examples.

Personalized Message

When you compose your message, make sure you personalize it a little bit. Personalized messages tend to be more heartwarming than something generic. As you can see, you can convey a plethora of different messages when you send roses. Keep the above points in mind next time you send flowers to your sweetie.
